Jeff Wolfe Consulting
Jeff Wolfe, is an energy and clean tech industry leader and serial entrepreneur. Currently, Jeff is consulting at Royal Dutch Shell in their new Connected Energy group where he is working to create innovative customer-sited efficiency, demand-response, distributed generation and virtual power plant product bundles for deep energy/carbon reduction and broad application. In 1998, Jeff co-founded and was CEO (until 2012) of groSolar, a Vermont-based nationwide solar energy installation company, where he remained as Chairman until its sale in 2016 to an international energy company.
Prior to Shell, Jeff was Senior Vice President at Just Energy Group, Inc. (NYSE: JE), where he created and ran the strategy department. Jeff led the creation and development of the first commercial and residential customer subscription-based energy product contracts, leveraging energy efficiency.
Jeff has consulted on business, products, micro-grids, storage, and PV development. His clients spanned major US utilities, technology startups, and African solar developers. He has been on the board of the Solar Energy Industries Association for over a decade. He also serves on the Union of Concerned Scientists National Advisory Board.
Prior to groSolar, Jeff was a Partner in a national engineering firm, providing services for over $1 Billion of construction. He designed cogeneration, industrial process, laboratory (international award winning), healthcare, academic, and commercial facilities. He has a BSME from Cornell University, is a Registered Professional Engineer, and lives in Houston.
