Paul Hendricks, Patagonia

Manager of Environmental Responsibility
Patagonia

Paul is the Manager of Environmental Responsibility at Patagonia. He focuses his efforts on reducing Patagonia’s environmental footprint and works to communicate the company’s philosophy and efforts in a way that inspires others. He has a background in education, international relations, and environmental sustainability, which has led to a wide variety of jobs including a climbing guide, homeless shelter coordinator, and various conservation-related roles. Apart from his work at Patagonia, Paul has also played active roles in a number of environmental campaigns including working to shut down Line 5, a worn out pipeline running through the Great Lakes, and defending the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. Most weekends though, he can be found climbing the peaks of the Sierras with his wife or trying to expand his culinary skills beyond grilled cheese (the former hobby tends to be more successful than the latter).
